ended in 1990, Black South Africans were granted
many rights, including the right to own their own
businesses. This opened up more competition and
created a stronger market economy in South Africa.
Unfortunately, South Africa is still feeling the
effects of apartheid and poverty, crime, and
unemployment are problems the country faces.
