Religions change with culture. Those that don't change die out and become mythology and/or action heroes (Thor, Hercules, Merlin). The religions we all follow have adapted successfully through many cultural shifts. How do they do that? Given that most current religions have a scriptural basis that is often centuries old, how do we adapt old texts to new understandings? Is this legitimate? How do different religions deal with the conflict between old and new interpretations? Might there come a time when we need a new religion with a new (digital) text? Is it already here?
