Tell what three demands workers' unions sought during the period addressed in this lesson (1850-1900).

By the year 1850 - 1900, there were various distinctive unions with various demands. A few, similar to the Knights of Labor, needed to totally change the framework and give the specialists responsible for production lines. Others, similar to the AFL, essentially needed better treatment inside the framework. 
Generally, however, the fundamental requests were for better working conditions and higher pay.
