What has been done to protect blue whales?

Haven't heard anything about the inventions being a success but wwf has been putting in some effort into saving the blue whales

Blue Whale hunting is banned by the International Whaling Commission, and the blue whale is listed at endangered by the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species and the U.S. Endangered Species Act as of 2014. Other conversations efforts include monitoring populations by satellite tags and shipboard observers.
