Explain three reasons why french decided to send

1. They had a long history of rivalry with Britain. The British and French were basically enemies. The French lost prime territory to the British in the French and Indian War.

2. The American colonists promised to help the French army out if they ever needed any help.

3. If they helped the Americans defeat the British then the Americans probably would have traded with them opposed to the British.
