Contrasting In what ways was the Eastern Roman Empire different from the Western Roman Empire?

The Eastern Roman Empire's differences to the Western Empire can be defined by its numerous vast population centers and wealthiest cities such as Constantinople while the Western Roman Empire had less cities and more so small villages. Another can be that the common language of the Eastern Roman Empire was Greek while the common language in the Western Roman Empire was Latin.
