The greeks and roman had a great amount of influence in the making of what is now known as the untied state gov. The romans had there own version of the president wich was called a emperor. they elected that person like we do today. Also the romans had to vote to go to war but most or some of our military Tacitus have evolved from the romans and greeks .

They had an evolvement of government the same as american.Like the formation of the congress.
