Objectification is degrading a person value and comparing them to an object a or a thing.

Explanation:

In the field of social philosophy, the term "objectification" may be defined as the act of treating others or some animals as a thing or an object. In other words, it is degrading someone and comparing the person to the level of an object or or an ordinary thing. It is dehumanization act and is not considered as a good manner in philosophy.

Some examples of objectifications are :

1. Telling a person that he or she is useless and worthless like the garbage. This is an act of objectification because the person is being considered to the dirty rotten garbage which does not have any value. They are useless and people throw them in dustbins.

2. Comparing the appearance of a person to some thing or an item. It is objectification as the person is humiliated and the person feels depressed because of his body appearance and size. The person feels low and underconfident in front of others.

3.  Saying an animal or a person as a lazy and dull person and comparing to some items. It is degrading the person or the animals value and respect to a mere object which is not good.
