Why did general gage offer to clonists who pledged loyalty to the king?

During the time period leading up to the revolutionary war, The British government knew that a lot of colonists still have their doubt regarding the issues. They feared that the British military's was too strong for the colonists too handle and the revolution might ended up in failures.

Knowing this sentiments, General Gage gave the colonists an offers. If they abandoned the revolutionary group and pledge loyalty to the King, the British government will give them a 'pardon' and exclude them from punishments that they're planning to give to the rest of the colonists.

By giving this offer, General Gage wanted to created a division within the colonists and effectively reduce their power.

    these listed disputes often resulted in casualties from all sides. riots, wars, imprisonment, and lynching are all commonly associated with racial conflict on severe levels.

      however, racism is an improving issue in recent decades. people are being more accepting and welcoming of diverse populations. though, the world isn't perfect and it will take much more time, if ever, until the world is rid of racism.
