Cast away Imagine you are vacationing on a luxury cruise liner touring the South Pacific. Suddenly, you hear a voice from the ship’s captain stating that all passengers must prepare for an emergency situation. People everywhere are panicking; several begin inflating the ship’s life rafts. Out of nowhere a large ocean tsunami capsizes the ship leaving only a few hundred survivors out to sea.

The survivors of the ship lay desperately in their life rafts for two days before floating up to a deserted island. Food is scarce, and fresh water is nowhere to be found.

Questions:
1. How will the daily needs (food, water, shelter) of your fellow castaways be met until help arrives?
2. Will there be any rules on the island? If so, what are the penalties for violating those rules?
