Around 1771, BC Hammurabi issued a set of laws to settle certain legal issues in his country. The reflection of these laws is evident even today. Through Judaism, it is reflected in the laws that are the product of Hammurabi's laws. Elements of Hammurabi's law were also recorded through other monotheistic religions. In particular, these details relate to the social position of women. Today, in rigid patriarchal societies where state laws are imbued with religious ones, it is possible to recognize elements of one of the oldest written laws in the world. Such a situation is mainly present in undemocratic societies such as Saudi Arabia, North Korea, Afghanistan, and similar countries.
