ITK practices are farmer approved, economic, responsible, and suited to the individual resident and natural conditions., ITK practices are neglected and often disregarded on the pretense of being unscientific. But object strange is not unscientific, and discarding ITK on the belief of being unscientific is not justifiable. Indigenous practices may have some vulnerabilities, problems and constraints, but they should not neglect it that farmers have sustained in past under extreme conditions based on the resident knowledge they keep.
