True or false emotional intelligence is the ability to listen supportively when other people share their feelings

I would say it is false that  emotional intelligence is the ability to listen supportively when other people share their feelings. It doesn't only refer to listening, but also to understanding and saying what is right and helpful to that person. But most of all, it refers to understanding your own emotions.
