Martin Luther King said the following during the Civil Rights movement: I think America must see that riots do not develop out of thin air. Certain conditions continue to exist in our society which must be condemned as vigorously as we condemn riots. But in the final analysis, a riot is the language of the unheard. And what is it that America has failed to hear? Throughout the world America is viewed as a Super Power. We are currently in the midst of a pandemic that seems to affect Black and Brown People disproportionately. As well, we are in the midst of nationwide protests and riots stemming from yet another murder of a Black Man and a Black woman at the hands of law enforcement. America's superpower status means the entire globe feels its cultural influence. We know what Americans think, but how do you think citizens of other nations perceive the US now?
