The US Civil War (April 12, 1861 - April 9, 1865) was a
CIVIL WAR
conflict fought within the (1) . The eleven (2) US states
(who called themselves the (3) States of America) wanted
to leave the United States of America over issues of (4)

South wanted to continue owning slaves, who worked on cotton plantations, and
