Examples of such products include automobiles, aircrafts, machinery, and computers. Another factor helping the United States remain a manufacturing leader is productivity. Factories have become more efficient over the years with the increasing use of efficient computers and machines. However, this productivity has come at a cost for some American workers. Some long-time factory workers have had their jobs replaced by new technology, leaving only about 10% of US laborers in the manufacturing industry.
