400 million people live around the ganges,people throw trash and the leftover remains of humans after a funeral into the river pollutong it also waste from surrounding citis is dumped into the ganges's waters it is considered holy because it is belived to be water from godess Ganga and that bathing in it frees you of your sin and can guide your soul to ethernal paradise
