Political Machines would bribe people to vote for them and corrupted politicians by bribing them until submission this led to corruption in the power of the 3 branches since they were now under the influence of a political machine. Another things a political machine is a person who controls a faction or local branch of a political party. This corruption is usually tied to patronage; the exchange of jobs, lucrative contracts and other political favors for votes, campaign contributions and sometimes outright bribes. Last thing, the problem was that many political machines broke their own laws to suit their purposes.
