Organizational commitment refers to an employees level of dedication to his organization. However, organizational commitment varies and are caused due to various reasons. The type of organizational commitment exhibited by Sarah is the normative commitment whereby an employees feels that he or she owes the organization. When an employee feels that being committed to the organization is the right thing to do usually due to the good treatment and favor the organization has done for such employee. This is different from being continuance commitment resulting from fear or affectionate commitment which result from love or attachment to the organization.
