In the Novel "To Kill a Mockingbird " by Harper Lee, Scout's teacher tells her not to read to her father in chapter 2. Miss Caroline finds out that Scout learned how to read in chapter 2 and becomes very displeased, so afterwards she makes Scout feel guilty for being educated, which causes Scout to complain to Jem about Miss Carolines statement.
