Cold War never generated a direct armed conflict between the United States (US) and the Soviet Union (USSR), but the conflict of interest between the two countries resulted in armed conflicts around the world and a dispute that took place at various levels such as the economy, diplomacy, technology, etc.

The economy of the Soviet Union began to go into crisis. The crisis was the result of the lack of actions by the Soviet government to boost the country's economy, which was already showing a technological and economic backwardness in relation to the great world powers, and the country's social indicators began to fall.

The soaring oil price created a climate of false prosperity that prevented reforms in the Soviet economy from happening. And this made US become bigger.

i disagree that there is little difference between adult female development and adult male development. sociological studies comparing female and male pathways to adulthood, revelead that there are sustancial differences between them. particularly, female and male differ from timing of marriage, when they began to live with children and the likelihood of combining wife/husband and parent roles.
