What are the traditions and customs in burma

Since the most people in Burma are Buddhist, a novitiation ceremony, called "shinbyu" is one of very important traditions. According to the site (http://www.myanmar.cm/lifestyle/shin_pyu.html), a novitiation ceremony is about "allowing boys to enter the Buddha's Order of Sangha (or monks) as a novice after shaving their heads, donning robes, and asking permission in Pali to become a novice."
