The limbic system is a interrelated structures group involved in people's emotion, memory, and motivation experiences.

Limbic system is located on two sides of thalamus and its function is to support bodily functions such as motivation, olfaction, emotions, behavior and etc. It processes the lower order of emotions.  

It is also made up of different parts of brains that include the hypothalamus, hippocampus and several others. The limbic system provides a connection between the parts of brain that deal with the high or low function. It is located within the cerebellum and above brain stem.
