Explanation:

Sanctions are a collection of efforts that is conducted by certain countries to punish other countries who fail to follow a rule or agreement. In international law, sanctions will be given to countries who possess a 'threat'  to other countries' security. (The reasons could be economical or political)

an aneroid barometer is different from a mercury barometer in that it provides readings that increase as air pressure increases.
