The late 1800’s-early 1900’s were a trying time for the nation of Russia due to many events. These harsh times began in the 1890’s with the bad living and working conditions in the country that led to many strikes and revolts. A major revolt occurred in 1905 after the creation of radical factions/political parties. The Tsar (ruler) was not able to keep control or repair the sluggish economy.
