What type of democracy is in the united states

We have what's called a representative democracy. This is where the people elect representatives to run the government. The citizens elect representatives such as the president, members of congress, and senators to run the government. Basically when we vote for President, we're basically voting for people to vote on behalf of whatever our state's popular vote is.

answer: a federal government has final authority on interstate/inter provincial  and international affairs, a confederation is one where the central/national government or authority is governing body what does not have final say over the same matters. hopefully this and i will try again if you don't like this answer : )
