Is the behaviors that tell people how to act in ways that meet the standard our values set for us?

I believe the answer is: Ethics

Every culture have their own ethical standard that expected to be followed by all members of the social group.
These ethics are not necessarily enforced by legal power, but if members of the social group deviate from the ethics, they tend to gen shunned by other members and their social standing would crumble.
