Its a test usually taken by juniors in high school, and test students knowlegde  and it is mainly used by colleges to determine our "readiness" for like college and where we stand. they see this as well as our GPA and grades from high school. but as of right now (Nov. 2020) pretty sure not all colleges are requiring it this time due to the pandemic, and testing got cancelled but you can still take it in some states and included with your college applications if you want.
