The Driving Question for Unit 1 is "Why do some clothes stick together when they come out of the dryer?" Throughout the Unit, you will be gathering evidence to try to answer this question in detail, by explaining what's happening to matter at the smallest scale - even smaller than you can see with a powerful microscope! When you have a big question to answer, it often helps to try asking smaller questions that can lead you to the answer for the big question. For example, if you want to know how to live a long healthy life, you might ask many smaller questions about diet, exercise, sanitation, medicine, and other aspects of life. Think of several smaller questions that you could ask about the nature of matter that might help you understand why some clothes stick together when they come out of the dryer. Put them in a numbered list as a response to this post. After you post your response, find another students response that makes you think, and reply to it, giving the other person feedback. Which questions do you find most interesting and why? Can you answer any of their questions using your current understanding of science and nature?
