Any thing which occupies space and has rest mass is known as matter. Matter is composed of atoms which further consists of electrons, protons and neutrons. This matter forms all the living things and non-living objects. Living things are composed of cells which are composed of matter. Objects in all state-solid,liquid and gas are made up of matter.
