I really need some help ASAP Scenario:
A bungee jumper is attached to a stretchy elastic cord (bungee cord) with a certain unstretched length (equilibrium/base length).
That cord is then attached to a non-stretchy string. We can add/remove string before the jump, but its length doesn’t change during the jump.
When the jumper first jumps, the string and cord are rolled up so they unroll with no resistance until they are fully unrolled part-way through the fall.
Once the elastic cord fully unrolls, it starts to stretch, pulling against the falling jumper and building up elastic energy.
Eventually the jumper falls to a certain height where the elastic cord has converted all energy to elastic energy, pull the jumper back up.
The jumper’s ending height must be higher than the No Go Zone, but lower than the No Go Zone + Buffer.

Assumptions:
The person starts at a height of 100 m
You want a safety zone of 3 m above the ground
The buffer zone is 3 m high
Your person is 2 m tall
Your person has a mass of 65 kg
The bungee has a spring constant of 120 N/m
The bungee cord has a length of 50 m

What amount of string would need to be added to your bungee cord to have your bungee jumper fall within the buffer zone?

Requirements:
Your model should calculate Eg, Ek, Ee, and Etotal at three different moments:
The object is on a platform and at rest.
The object having fallen the length of the bungee cord, no stretch yet
The bungee reaches maximum stretch and stops the object.
I should be able to enter any combination of variables and have the system calculate the total distance the object falls.
You must answer the question above about added cord/string needed to reach your goal height.
Determine the height for your gravitational potential energy calculation based on the location of your person’s feet.
