We know an object moving in a circle at constant speed feels a centripetal acceleration inward towards the center of the circle. Two students are arguing about this in the context of Newton's 2nd/1st law. One says that since the speed is constant Newton's 1st law says the net force is zero. The other says that since there is a net acceleration points to the center of the circle the net force must also point in to the center of the circle and be non-zero. Who is right
