Draw the distribution of charge for the conductor(s) in your pattern. Remember that electric field lines begin on positive charges and terminate on negative charges. A higher field line density implies a larger charge, and a lower field line density implies a smaller charge. Write a + where each line begins and a – where each line terminates.
