Click play to watch the video. The other video controls allow you to rewind the video or step forward or backward one frame at a time.

Part A
Describe what you see in the video.
Part B
It’s time to get a little more specific. Based on the velocity (vx) graph for the car and the velocity data in the table, divide the total motion of the car into rough time periods that tell a different “chapter” of the story for this car trip. In each of these time periods, the car’s velocity will be notably different from the previous period. Enter a brief description of the car’s motion in each period. The first one is done for you. Use it as an example to identify and describe the remaining time periods. Note: You can define as many periods as you think appropriate.
Part C
Now, for each time period, look at the graphs of x, vx, and ax. Briefly describe what is happening for each of these variables during your identified time periods. To view any of these graphs in detail, double-click the graph. You’ll be able to view it in the Data Tool window.

Comedians like to joke that the reason we haven’t been visited by intelligent life from elsewhere in the universe is that aliens have been monitoring earth’s broadcasts of intellectually embarrassing tv programs, like gilligan’s island, fear factor, the jersey shore, and the jerry springer showand so consider us far too primitive to merit a visit. let’s check the assertion that aliens could have been receiving them. tv programs are broadcast at a frequency of about 100mhz with about 100kw of total power in 30frames per second, which emanatesroughly uniformly in all directions. assume that interstellar space transmits these broadcasts without attenuation. no matter how smart they are, aliens would require at least one photon per frame to interpret our signals. findthe number of photons per unit time per unit area reaching a receiver on a possible planet in the nearest star system, which is about 4 light-years away (a light-year is the distance light travels in a year). if aliens aimed a receiver or detector directly at earth, how big (in diameter) would it have to be to receive a photon per frame

An engineer designs a roller coaster so that a car travels horizontally for 152 ft, then climbs 137 ft at an angle of 34.0° above the horizontal. it then moves 137 ft at an angle of 48.0° below the horizontal. if we take the initial horizontal motion of the car to be along the +x-axis, what is the car's displacement? (give the magnitude of your answer, in ft, to at least four significant figures and give the direction of your answer in degrees counterclockwise from the +x-axis.)

Which statements describe the movement of ocean currents around the globe? check all that apply. strong winds force warm water to sink to the ocean floor. the coriolis effect causes warm and cold water to mix. cool dense water sinks to the ocean floor. warm water replaces cool surface water. wind blowing parallel to the shore causes upwelling of cool water.
