1. Measure the length of your rubber band to start using whatever “units” you can (inches, cm, # of lines on paper, etc.) and record this number 2. Stretch the rubber band a little bit (very, very gently) until you feel tension in the rubber band. Record this new number.
3. Try and pull on the rubber band “twice as hard” (this is very subjective, we know). Measure the new length.
4. Try doubling the pull again and measure the length one last time.

Looking at your numbers, what do you notice about the difference between each number?
If you had a stiffer rubber band, what do you think would happen to those numbers? If you had a stretchier rubber band?
