A physics class has been split into four groups to complete the following activity: “create and act out a play that models the creation and propagation of sound waves in a gas (like air).” Below is what each group came up with: Group A: The students sit in a row, with the first person holding a ball labeled “energy.” The student at the beginning stands up, then passes the ball to the student next to them before sitting back down. This continues for each student consecutively to the end of the row.

Group B: The students stood closely together in a line with their arms locked tight. Then the student at the beginning of the line passes the “energy” ball to the person next to them, keeping the locked arms, causing the ball to move quickly down the line.

Group C: The students stood spread out randomly along the classroom. One student began jogging with the “energy” ball till he hit another student, and then locked arms with them. The two students then continued running, and locking arms with other students. This continued until all the students were moving as one large group with the ball at the other end of the classroom.

Group D: The students stood spread out randomly along the classroom. The first person moves the “energy” ball across their body from left to right, and passes that ball to the closest person on their right. This process is repeated until the ball had been tossed to every person in the classroom at least once, from one end of the room to the other.

Which group created and acted out a play that most accurately models the creation and propagation of sound waves in a gas (like air)? (DOK 2)

Assume that two of the electrons at the negative terminal have attached themselves to a nearby neutral atom. there is now a negative ion with a charge -2e at this terminal. what are the electric potential and electric potential energy of the negative ion relative to the electron? the electric potential and the electric potential energy are both twice as much. the electric potential is twice as much and the electric potential energy is the same. the electric potential is the same and the electric potential energy is twice as much. the electric potential and the electric potential energy are both the same. the electric potential is the same and the electric potential energy is increased by the mass ratio of the oxygen ion to the electron. the electric potential is twice as much and the electric potential energy is increased by the mass ratio of the oxygen ion to the electron.
