Two rocks in space collide. One rock has a mass of 2.67 kg and travels at an initial velocity of 1.70X102 m/s toward Jupiter while the other rock has a mass of 5.83 kg. After colliding, the rocks are both moving toward Jupiter with speeds of 185 m/s for the smaller rock and 183 m/s for the larger one. What was the initial velocity of the larger rock?
