How to convert units of volume in physics?

Units of volume in physics can be converted different ways depending what you have. But the most important thing to remember is that Liters is not the standard unit. the standard unit is meters cubed (m^3). if you think about the volume of a cube is length * width * height. these are length dimensions resulting in meters cubed. You can convert liters to meters cubed by understanding that 1 mililiter = 1 cm^3.

therefore it is possible to convert liters to mililiters. That value is the same as the cm^3 value. from there you can say that (1 meter)^3 = (100 cm)^3. You have to see that the cubed on this is outside the parenthesis. this means that you do not use 100 as the conversion but 100^3 (which is the same as using 1,000,000) so there is 1,000,000 cm^3 per 1 m^3. hope this helps cuz I do not understand the question
