In this activity, you will explore the effects of the electric force between a balloon and a sweater. Rub an inflated rubber balloon on a woolen
sweater or scarf (or anything made of silk, nylon, acrylic, or polyester fabric.) Now, holding the balloon by its knotted end, bring it near the cloth
item. (Note: This mini-experiment works best if the air is dry.)
