Electromagnetic waves from the sun reach the earth even though the space between us and the sun. Sound waves emitted by the sun cannot reach the earth. Explain why this difference?​

Electromagnetic waves don’t travel therefore they don’t “reach” the Earth. “Only” electromagnetic energy/radiation propagates through the omnipresent fundamental electromagnetic field.

If photons or EM waves travelled through 180,000 miles of vacuum at near absolute zero temperature I don’t think I’d be sitting here in a T-shirt and shorts.

There is a fundamental EM field permeating space between the sun and Earth. EM energy propagates in this field as the up and down oscillation of EM field values in a wave-like pattern.
