12. A solar-thermal power plant (Tonapah, for example) might cost $2B to build and operate over its 20 year lifetime. Assume it generates 100 MW for 8 hours a day; assume it is always sunny during the days:
a) How much must be charged wholesale for generation of this electricity, just to cover that initial cost?
Please compute the cost in $/kW-hr, which is the wholesale consumer cost that is quoted. Note for a
natural gas power plant, this wholesale cost is $0.05/kW-hr, approximately. Make any simplifying econ.
