The one factor that affects GPE that we cannot explore using this simulator is the amount of gravity. As we say in our unit on gravity, each object exerts a different amount of gravity based on its mass and how far you are from its center. On earth the effect of this gravity is always constant near the surface of the earth. This is g, the acceleration due to gravity. This is the last factor affecting the GPE an object feels here on earth.
