Analyzing experiments: You think that Bounty paper towels absorb spills better than other towels because ads say that they are the best. You want to know if Bounty absorbs better than the cheaper store brand towel. You place a Bounty paper towel and a store brand paper towel each in two separate beakers filled with 100 ml water for 30 seconds. You then squeeze out each in separate beakers filled with 100ml water. You then squeeze out each and measure in the graduated cylinder how much water was absorbed. Bounty absorbed 30 ml water while the store brand absorbed 40 ml. What is the problem?

What is the control group (normal; doesn’t get special treatment) in this experiment?

What is the constant(stays same for all in experiment)?

What is the independent variable (what is being tested; the ONE thing or factor that is changed or made different on purpose by the scientist)?

What is the dependent variable (what will be measured or observed to see the effect of the independent variable)?

What is the hypothesis?

What is the conclusion?

Was the hypothesis supported or not?

This is important 1. what happens to the speed of molecules in water vapor when it condenses to form a liquid? (2 points) the molecules slow down. the molecules speed up. the molecules slow down and then speed up. the molecules speed up and then slow down. 2. how might human activities change to compensate for a decrease in water supplies? (2 points) humans might build a factory. humans might build drainage systems. humans might extract more water from the ground. human behavior does not change because of the water cycle. i'll be grateful if anyone can answer these 2 questions !
