Air from a workspace enters an air conditioner unit at 308C dry bulb and 208C wet bulb. The air leaves the air conditioner and returns to the space at 208C dry-bulb and 6.58C dew-point temperature. If there is any, the condensate leaves the air conditioner at the temperature of the air leaving the cooling coils. The volume flow rate of the air returned to the workspace is 800 m3/min. Atmospheric pressure is 101 kPa. Determine the heat transfer rate from the air, in kW, and the mass flow rate of condensate water, if any, in kg/h.

You notice a very one-dimensional-thinking snail crawling along one rail of a railroad track. naturally, you remove it to a safer place. but before you do, you observe it as it moves from position xi = -92.9 cm to position xf = -64.9 cm along the rail, as measured from a point where one rail abuts the next. what is the snail\'s displacement δx in centimeters?

Because air contracts as it cools, the air pressure inside a freezer is typically lower than on the outside. why do ice cubes inside a freezer tend to shrink over time? the ice sublimes, and then the water vapor deposits as ice crystals on the sides of the freezer. the ice melts, and then the liquid freezes as ice crystals on the bottom of the freezer. the ice dissolves oxygen from the air, forming a denser crystalline matrix. the ice reacts chemically with carbon dioxide in the air, forming gaseous carbon compounds.
