h = u·t + 1/2×g×t²

1500 = 0×t + 1/2 × 9.81 × t² = 4.905·t²

∴ t = √(1500/4.905) = 17.49 s

The horizontal distance the package travels before landing = 17.49 × 39 ≈ 682 m
