A physics student who is taking both optics and biology classes this semester sits down in front of a microscope to observe a bacteria in a microscope. She starts thinking about her optics class and decides to make up an optics problem to solve involving a microscope. Here is what she is thinking and what you as the reader of this problem will answer. Knowing that a microscope can be simulated as (from left to right) an objective lens and an eyepiece (which can be considered to be a thin lens). She looks through the eyepiece where her eye is positioned to the right of the eyepiece at the bacteria which is positioned 0.325 cm to the left of the objective lens which has a focal length = 0.35 cm(a) Where is the image formed by the objective lens.(b) What is this image magnification?

The pressure increases by 1.0 x 104 n/m^2 for every meter of depth beneath the surface of the ocean. at what depth does the volume of a pyrex (bulk modulus 2.6 x 1010n/m^2) glass cube, 9.8 x 10^−2m on an edge at the ocean's surface, decrease by 7.5 x 10−10m^3? explain the formula beyond this point: p=1.0x10^4, b=2.6x10^10, l=9.8x10^−2, delta v=7.5x10^−10. at some point l needs to be cubed. why p is divided by delta v?

Two conductors, a and b, are each in the shape of a tetrahedron. but of different sizes. they are charged in the following manner: 1. tetrahedron a is charged from an electrostatic generator to charge q. 2. tetrahedron a is briefly touched to tetrahedron b. 3. steps 1 and 2 are repeated until the charge on tetrahedron b reaches a maximum value. if the charge on tetrahedron b was q/4 after the first time it touched tetrahedron a. what is the final charge qbmax on tetrahedron b?
