In empty space, an object of mass 1 kg is moving along a straight line with a constant speed of 10 m/s. Hanging in space is a dust-mote of negligible mass. At a certain instant the object is 100 m from the dust-mote. However, as it continues along its path, it will pass within 1 m of the mote. What is the magnitude of the angular momentum of the object, as seen from the dustmote’s position?
