The objective of a microscope has a focal length

of 0.80 cm and the eyepiece has a focal length

of 4.0 cm. An object is placed 1.50 cm from the

objective. The final image is formed at the near

point of the eye (25 cm).

a) Calculate the distance of the image from the objective.

b) Calculate the distance from the eyepiece lens of the image in part a.

c) Calculate the angular magnification of the microscope.
