Why do you think Kool Aid comes in packets that has a very finely ground powder (finely ground means very small particles)?

Kool-Aid is usually sold in powder form, in either packets or small tubs. The actual beverage is prepared by mixing the powder with sugar (the packets of powder are usually, though not always, unsweetened) and water, typically by the pitcherful. The drink is usually either served with ice or refrigerated and served chilled. Additionally, there are some sugar-free varieties.

Dissolving pretty well anything which is not itself going to boil or evaporate will increase the boiling point. So sugar, salt, Kool-Aid, all will elevate the boiling point of water.

Elevation of boiling point of a solution is one of several “colligative properties”, as we were told to call them in O-level chemistry. These are properties of a solution that change according to how many particles of solute are dissolved.
