An elastic string of mass 4.2 g is stretched to length 1.6 m by the tension force 23 N . The string is fixed at both ends and has fundamental frequency f1 . When the tension force increases to 575 N the string stretches to length 11.2 m and its fundamental frequency becomes f2. Calculate the ratio f2 f1 .
